So, I was thinking. Theologically, of course. After seeing The Dark Knight, which was an amazing movie by the way, I started thinking about analogies. One of the last scene's in the movie portrays Officer Gordon watching Batman run away, and his son asks him a question. I don't really remember what he asks him... but I do remember what Gordon says. I'll leave it to you to guess who he is talking about, but here is the roughly what I remember of the quote.
"He is the hero that Gotham doesn't deserve, but wants."
That is probably not exactly what he says, but it was along those lines. This is where my thinking takes place. Who else does this quote possibly define? Could it be Jesus Christ, our Savior that we definitely didn't deserve? I think so. We do not deserve God's unending love, nor did we deserve Jesus Christ. Jesus did not die on the cross because we deserved it, though. He died on the cross for our sins because he loves us, and wants us to live eternally with him. There is nothing that we could do to deserve God's love, but he loves us anyway. Isn't that amazing? I think it is amazing that I just compared a Batman movie to Jesus dying for us. :) Really, though, God is so incredibly amazing, and he loves us! Us, people who are full of sin, and push God away! We can push God away and try to force him out of our lives, but he is never leaving. He sent his Son for us even though we never deserved Him. I'd say that is amazing. Just something to think about.
Sadly, this is my last post for a while. I am leaving tomorrow morning, bright and early, for CenterFuge in North Carolina. It's basically a camp and I really have no idea what I am going to be doing. Campy stuff, I suppose. When I get back I will be sure to post an obnoxiously long post on here with lots of pictures and stories, which I know every single one of you will lovingly read. Peace!

love you!
This is actually a GREAT analogy. Good thinking.
I just read your blog for the first time---LOVE IT!
I don't know if I have any right to feel proud of you, but I certainly do. You are quite the young woman--such a beautiful combination of personality, thought, reflection, intellect, athleticism.
Like the Batman analogy. You write well. I see all sorts of potential in you.
i think that The Joker as Jesus in fact would be a more fitting analogy
