Randolph Lake with the Youth Group

So I'm skipping the post about the staff retreat, my mom wrote about it if you want to look at pictures and whatever. The month of August has been deemed "Party Month" for FOCUS (by me anyway) and yesterday we went to Lake Randolph in Millquarter. FOCUS is my Sunday night youth group and we have just been doing fun events so far this month, next week is game night and the week after is the infamous SHAVING CREAM FIGHT! So excited! We had a ton of fun at the lake, swimming and launching water balloons and paddling around in the kayak- and finding snakes! The snake part was pretty scary, but everything else was lots of fun. Yay for pictures!

Ah, my boyfriend, the lion. I hope you think this picture is as hilarious as I do.

Alyy and Sam jumped into the water right over a freaked out me!

Sydni and Robert had a pretty crazy cake fight. You may be saying yum- but it isn't quite the same when you hate chocolate!

She wasn't a very happy camper!

This was where I was considering jumping out of the the kayak because he was going to pedal us back out and I didn't want to go. I did jump out eventually- but because I had to get my water balloon!

So.... I would've thrown the water balloon at him, but I probably would have missed and he had a whole bucket of water. I thought better of it. Chad already dumped a whole bucket on me when I totally wasn't expecting it! They are all against me, lol.

Random Pics!

We had a little jam session after it got a little too windy to go in the water, three people brought their guitars. Sarah gave everyone a little preview of her stuff, she has a show this Saturday! (I'll tell you guys more about that later). We sang Burnin' Up by The Jonas Brothers, which is definitely our official song of the summer, plus a couple others. I do love a good jam session!

Travis brought his guitar out and Colby borrowed Sarah's for a little bit- brought a little of that rocker voice into it!

Kyle brought his guitar along and pulled out his tailgate to play.

So this was the only picture that Sarah would let me put on here because she doesn't like her FACE, but I think it is cute. She sang some of her originals but saved most of them for the show on Saturday.

Sarah always seems to want to take kissy pictures of me and Travis. It's not really a problem for us... :)

Kyle attempting to look cute.

Singing for meeeeeee :D

Jackie grillin' up the burgers ends our picture parade! The party was really fun, and a lot of new people came, so that was pretty cool. Water balloons were awesome, we had a launcher and we hit some people out in the lake! Finding a snake in the water wasn't the best moment... but other than that it was a good time. I love hanging with my youth group!
